The 700 Club received a grant of £60,000 over three years in April 2021 from the Charity of Sir Richard Whittington. This funding supports The Lodge, a project in Darlington that provides emergency bed and breakfast accommodation for those who are homeless.
Between 2019 and 2021 The Lodge prevented 439 people from becoming street homeless through emergency accommodation. All bar two of these people were supported into follow on accommodation. The Lodge Helps ensure there is virtually no street homelessness in Darlington.
The Nehemiah Project received a grant of £60,000 over three years in July 2019 from the Charity of Sir Richard Whittington. This funding supports New Future, the first stage of a Supported Housing programme in South London providing men with a safe place to live, gain confidence, develop life skills and meaningful relationships and overcome addictions. In the first year of the grant 48 men were housed with 31 participating in New Future.
Over the last five years, only 5% of men who have completed Nehemiah’s Supported Housing Programme have returned to prison.
